James H. Jennings, 88, of Edgewater died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 with his children by his side. James was born July 5, 1921 in Chester, Pennsylvania and graduated from Eddystone High School in 1939. He went on to work for Sun shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, and to serve in the US Army. After finishing his military service, James worked for Sunoco Company in Philadelphia, while taking classes in engineering at both Drexel University and Pennsylvania State University. He retired from Sunoco in 1983, after over 30 years of service. James was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy S. Jennings on January 29, 2010. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Reese; son, Greg; daughter, Joyce Ernst and three grandchildren, Doug, Megan and Kendall.
